The menu and Hubert Foss' handwritten placecard for the 29th Double Crown Club Dinner, chaired by Michael Sadleir and held at Kettner's Restaurant on 16 April 1931.

The menu was designed by Douglas Cleverdon, etched by Denis Tagetmeier and printed by Ernest Ingham. It consists of four printed sides and identifies the speaker as member Harold Monro, who was to read a paper on unnecessary books.
