The invitation and two copies of the menu for the 54th Double Crown Club Dinner, which was chaired by then presiden Hubert Foss and held at the Cafe Royal on 19 February 1936.

Three short papers on 'The Modern Magazine' were read by David Greenhill, HW Yoxhall and Gilbert Russell. The invitation was sent to Hubert Foss at the Oxford University Press. The menu was designed by Michael Higgins and printed by James Shand at the Shenval Press. It is printed both sides of a folded sheet of paper, with a details in red and a photograph of the operation of a printing press covering one side.
