Arsenault studied MA Fine Art: Painting at Camberwell College of Arts.
As a contemporary abstract painter who explores human ecology, she is interested in her relationships with the social, built and natural environments, and the observations discovered through those engagements and her work responds to how these encounters shape her view of the world. There is a directional influence or a mapping characteristic that permeates Arsenault's work: placement of gesture, line, colour, and pattern manipulate the viewers eye. Experiences are not depicted chronologically, but rather experiences inform, impact and relate to each other. Abstracted topographies drawn from memory, photographs, plein air studies, found objects and organic material are heavily grounded in the artist's concern for the natural environment and influenced by contemporary landscape painting.
