This curated collection explores objects and archives whose shape, function and form imply a ‘body’. This might be through direct use like a medical or a musical instrument, or an item of clothing.

It includes archival objects where representations of the body communicate something else.

Or where a design uses the shape of a figure in some way, for decoration or to convey meaning.
