Ring bound folder containing 25 pages of fibre samples in various forms.
Materials include cotton, rayon, silk, viscose, acetate, nylon, spun glass alginate, cellophane, jute, ramie and chenille. Some pages are annotated with 'Ditchling' and the dates 1944 or 1945 indicating they were made by Barbara Sawyer as a student. However, there are also two pages of later interventions by Sawyer. In the back of the folder is a number of loose documents dated from 1981-1982 which relate to wool production and manufacturing.
