The menu and an illustration for the 47th Double Crown Club Dinner, which was chaired by Holbrook Jackson and held in early 1935.
Short papers were read by Bernard Newdigate, Harold Strong, Richard De la Mare and Harold Curwen on the multiplication of text types in book printing. The menu was designed by Bernard Glemser, who credits 'SM.' for the availability of the multiple type faces used. It is printed on three sides with pink ink on yellow paper and has a red banner fixed around the outside reading 'The Double Crown Club Menu of the Month'. A small card slip found inside is printed in red and black, demonstrating typefounders' terminology applied to the letters Mheg.
