The poster is signed by Eckersley.
It features the slogans 'Building a home' and 'Planning a family' either side of the image, the text is in white. The image is a trowel, in the trowel head is a lady holding a baby and above her a door and window of a house, in block colours.. The trowel is grey, the lady and baby white and brown with black hair and the house in white with a brown front door and grey window. The background is blue. The poster was produced for 1987 Year of Shelter for the Homeless and distributed with 'People' Vol. 14 No. 1. Several sizes were produced. Measures, 76cm by 51cm and 56cm by 42cm. Printed by, International Planned Parenthood Foundation.
