Reprinted 1902, 1903, 1905, 1906, 1908--verso of half-title. Stiff vellum covers and flat spines. Design (on front cover and spine only): a flattened circle overlaid with a nine-stemmed candelabrum: in the centre three flowers alternating with four sinuous stems bearing pointed leaves, arching round or over the flowers; the pair of outer stems erect. Circle and leaves edged in gilt, leaves dark green, circle blocked in pale mauve, with flowers blocked in gilt. Author in sans serif gilt capitals flanked by inverted teardrops. Matching spine with a laterally compressed version of the cover motif. Pale grey-green endpapers, with a design in grey, featuring a design similar to the binding but with a vertical oval, the candelabrum has the pair of outer stems curving inward rather than erect. Small circles at base of candelabrum rather than inverted teardrops. Unsigned binding and endpapers (LO/C32). From the collection of David Rodger LO/C32.
