Dark Prussian blue cloth boards. Design (on front cover and spine only): within a frame, a stylised peacock's head emerging from arabesques, four large outlined roses possibly in place of eyes of the tail, all in white. To the right, two gilt buds on stems, with three small spaced circles descending beside them. Title and author in elaborate hand-drawn gilt italics.
