Tanay Designs founder Ollie Akdeniz studied BA Ceramic Design at Central saint Martins.

The detrimental effects of the fast fashion industry are a huge global problem: microfibres from clothes polluting waterways and oceans; excessive use of water in cotton production; polluting dyes; pesticides used to maximise cotton crop production and factories generating CO2, contributing to global warming. Akdeniz uses the language of fashion to highlight how over-consumption of fashion is destroying one of the most vital species to humankind: the bee.
